Erin E. Stead

Erin Stead is the Caldecott Medal winning illustrator of A Sick Day for Amos McGee, also named a New York Times Best Illustrated Book of 2010 and a Publishers Weekly Best Children’s Book of 2010 (A Neal Porter Book, Roaring Brook Press, 2010).  Erin creates her illustrations by hand using woodblock printing techniques and pencil.  She and her husband, author and artist Philip Stead, live in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
