Joanna Campbell Slan

Growing up in a small town in Southern Indiana, Joanna Campbell Slan knew two things: 1.) she wanted to be an author and 2.) she wanted to see the world. As a humorist she has spoken on four continents and many of the fifty states. Her first novel Paper, Scissors, Death was a finalist for the Agatha Award, which was named for Dame Agatha Christie. She’s an international celebrity in the world of scrapbooking and the author of eleven non-fiction books. When she’s not busy writing in her beach house on Jupiter Island, Florida, Joanna is attending social events in Washington, DC.

Joanna is the author of 16 books with over 200,000 in print. Her first book Using Stories and Humor: Grab Your Audience was endorsed by Toastmasters, International. She has stories in five of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books as well as six other anthologies–one was made into a television show for the PAX network.

As a motivational speaker, she has traveled the world, appearing on four continents and presenting  to crowds of up to 1,000 people. She was named one of the top 25 speakers in the world by Sharing Ideas Magazine, and one of the top 3 speakers in the state of Illinois.
