Mike Dow

Psychotherapist, addiction recovery expert, and the co-host of TLC’s Freaky Eaters, Dr. Mike Dow trained at the Betty Ford Center and is the Dr. Drew of weight loss. He practices a unique brand of cognitive and behavioral therapy, specializing in addictive behaviors, eating disorders, and food addictions.  Dr. Dow offers food addicts creative and profound ways to overcome their addictions, with his trademark combination of traditional and nontraditional (but medically proven) approaches to altering behavior and transforming habits of mind.

He has studied with some of the country’s most prominent therapists, including Dr. Harville Hendrix (Oprah’s “favorite therapist”) in his Imago Relationship Therapy model and Dr. Daniel Siegel at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior.
